Hampton Village is Saskatoon’s newest residential neighbourhood on our city’s west end and the first to be designed using a village concept with a central commercial space and park area which serves the needs of area residents. The area’s design is intended to draw people to this central gathering place, to promote a small town feeling and to make everyday life manageable without a motor vehicle.
Hampton Village is located in the northwest corner of Saskatoon. There are presently no schools in the area but both school systems offer bus service to nearby communities.
This neighbourhood is new enough that it hardly had a measurable population during the 2006 census but lots of development has occurred since then and the area is growing quite nicely.
The area offers an extensive park system with nearly fifty acres of green space in two public parks that include a system of biking and walking trails.
Hampton Village is a residential neighborhood within the Confederation Suburban Development Area of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Hampton Village is the first suburb designed on Saskatoon's west side to be modelled after the village concept. The residential area is constructed around the village centre consisting of shops, services and amenities for residential living, with walking trails radiating outward from the central core. This suburb has some detached homes and condominiums sold, and in 2008, there are still several areas still under construction.
